I have exactly less than four minutes to complete my thankful post on time. And by "on time" I mean on Thursday. Greg at Greg's General Store hosts this meme and other Thankful Thursdays can be found there.
#1. I had a clear sense of God drawing near to my son, Pilgrim and my son drawing near to Him. I am persuaded of the truth that "in Him all things hold together" Col. 1:17 and I know that He who began a good work in Pilgrim will be faithful to complete it. I'm thankful for this promise.
#2. I spent the day with Fash. We have to return her to the dorm room, at the far away college place, on Sunday. I know I will be sad. But. I am thankful that- though there have been some disappointments with college life and the realities of life in the real world- in general and difficulties in juggling responsibilities and all the fun stuff- Fash has decided that the Interior Design/Fashion Merchandising program there is a good fit for her interests and run by a very competent professor, so she is returning with fervor to forge ahead and finish strong.
#3. Thankfully good health seems to be returning to I.T., who has had a nasty head cold.
#4. I.T.'s parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary just after Christmas and all of their children and grandchildren were present for the festivities- both equally wonderful !
#5. I'm still treasuring up the memories from time recently spent with all three of our children and a friend of Pilgrim's from California and family, at gatherings around Christmas and New Year's. People were created for relationships and relationships are definitely a mess worth making, which is the title of the next book I'm going to read by Timothy Lane and Paul David Tripp. So stay tuned...

What a lovely way to water & nurture a grateful heart. Oh that we'd all take stock each day to collect the beauties of thankfulness.
Blessings,
Kathleen
It is always good to count our blessings.
