I know a pilgrim. I love him. He is my son.
We've spent the past few weeks killing the fatted calf in preparation for the homecoming of our son, Pilgrim. I can't express the joy I.T. and I have had spending time celebrating Pilgrim's presence in our home during this 10 day visit with him.
Pilgrim loves California and is doing a great job of making it on his own out there. We lavished love and affection upon him. Tomorrow we will say a tearful good-by and wish him all the best, as we return to our knees and wait......patiently....the Lord is good to all.

I'm so glad you've had time to enjoy your son. I've missed you, but I totally understand. Sometimes, life just calls!
I love your new blog look! : )
I'm so glad you've had this time with Pilgrim. I'll be praying for you as you send him off, as I know how hard that part is.
PS - the ornament giveaway is on until Sunday, so come back and post a comment here:

Glad you are having some time with him.
Blessings, andrea
What a fabulous name!
I certainly related to the joy you feel at his being home. My "babies" are 40, 39 & 37 and whenever they're asleep beneath my roof I have trouble sleeping, so great is my contentment.
May your remaining moments be filled with the richest of blessings,
Kathleen
So special to have him home. Give him a hug from us, and we can hear all about his exploits from you later.
Great pic!!

Hey! It sure is good to see your face in the blogosphere again! Have missed you a lot. I thought of you as I finally picked up my 3 piles of leaves off my lawn. I was thanking God for a small yard and sick trees that only get about half of their leaves to begin with. LOL!
I love that picture of you with Pilgrim. Chuckled at the ponytail on the chin. Kinda makes me want to put a bow in it. Just because it's there.
So glad you're having a good time, and so sorry it's over tomorrow. I'm praying for TS&P for him.
Love you!
I'm glad you've been having a great visit with Pilgrim.
Seems so strange to me to think of my children growing up and moving away someday. Two of the three are still saying they'll always live with me. But I know that day will come.
So glad I have friends like you who can warm me up to the idea and help prepare my heart. *grin*
And, yes. The Lord is good to all!
He is so blessed to have you as his mama.... I know he knows that and is thankful. So glad you had the time. I also know the pain and emptiness after they leave to return to their life. (That is why we moved to Oklahoma so we could be close.) I remember being strong as they were preparing and loading up then dissolving into tears as they rounded the corner out of sight.
I'll be praying for a safe return and for your comfort.
Blessings!
He looks so much like you Heidi!
You're gonna miss him, I know ...
So good for you to have had a wonderful visit!
Smiles!
I read this today with a smile...a knowing nod...as children grow and make their own ways
Awww, this is so sweet! My best to Pilgrim.
