Iron shirt for I.T. Make lunch and dinner for I.T.; pack it up.
Finish editing Fash's application for the scholarship offered by a local philanthropist. Give to I.T. who will deliver it this morning.
Throw a load in the laundry.
Breakfast.
Catch the 9:45 a.m. radio broadcast on NPR, promoting Homeschool Performing Arts' upcoming show of "Annie". Fash was on the panel of cast members being interviewed- way to go, girl! (Guess who the volunteer mom is, who worked on publicity for the show)
Make lunch and dinner for Fash; pack it up.
Run to Walgreens for a pack of nylons to complete a Lily St. Regis costume. Remember to buy toilet paper! Not for the show.
Pick up Rooster (remember Whippersnapper? the young man, who came to ask I.T.'s permission to "date" Fash? Well- in "Annie", the final show of our theater-loving daughter's high school career, he plays Rooster and Fash plays Lily St. Regis. Anybody gettin' what I'm sayin' here?).
Drive the two of them 45 minutes east on Highway 6 for scene run-throughs the rest of the day and into the night. Drive 45 minutes back home. Try not to let the fear of "merging onto the highway" attack. The semi will let you in. Trust. Increase your speed. Trust. Merge. Merge. Merge!
Back home.
Get ready for work.
Clean up the kitchen.
It's crazy week for the cast of "Annie"- rehearsals all day, every day, up to opening night on Thursday. I.T. will work 8 hours at his real job, then go to the auditorium to pound the sets together for another five. I'll be sharing Hope (and maybe selling books) at the bookstore- that's what we do there.
All the while, my mind is racing- she'll be gone soon, off to college. How did we get here? Time stood still, but the kids grew up. When? How? What's next? Is Everything going to be alright?
When I drive, I play WJQ99, my favorite Christian radio station. This is the song that is stickin' today. Crank it up and let it bless your day!
"It doesn't matter what you've heard. Impossible is not a word. It's just a reason for someone not to try. Everybody's scared to death. When they decide to take that step. ...It'll be alright....Life is so much more, than what your eyes are seeing...."
Everything will be alright.

What a day! What a week! Thinking of you! Enjoy Fash's last show!
Heidi,
Who was it that said that SAHM's jobs were easy and a piece of cake? I guess that they should read a snippet from yours.
You truly are one in a million. Go mom!
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
wow, I was tired just reading that!! then I remembered that I have a very similar week with a play rehearsal...and with my senior graduating...oh my.
I'm from North Carolina. But I live in the eastern part of San Diego county, in Southern California. Just a few miles north of Mexico. We don't have3 much in common with San Fran. Not climate. Not politics. Not attitude. Not reputation. just the same governor.
thanks for coming by...
i don't want my dd to go away...sometimes i'm afraid i've prepared her too much.
i want her to come home but have the understanding and ability to be on her own...not HAVE to come home.
this IS going to be hard
:\
My 18 year old is still living at home and I am fine with that....but I know it is just a matter of time. You're right. It's scary....so is merging in front of that semi!
Well, my youngest is a married woman with a BA degree under her belt. And somehow my eldest has ended up becoming the same age as his mother. I don't understand it!
Answering your question, yes, I am still teaching IEW. Mostly, I am tutoring a couple of students and helping my brilliant friend as she teaches 10+ classes. In the summer, I hope to join her at an IEW Conference. Will you be attending?
I didn't answer your other question about Sweet Eleanor. I have not heard of finished caps being sold. I will however check with Wendy.
Yes. Everything WILL be alright.
The week before a show is always crazy. I remember when we were doing one at church and I was about to pull my hair out. I walked over to my husband and said, "Please! Remind me how much I love doing these!!!"
Here's to a great memory in the making! *grin*
My daughter "Kiti" left a note on my comments that perhpas my younger dd "MamaMia" would be interested in knitting the cap for you. You can email and pursue this if you would like to.
Congrats on your daughter's senior year--it is hard for all of us moms, I guess! Thanks for coming by my blog--your comments are always great!
Hello - You won the I Won...You Win! E-mail me your address and I'll send it out in the next couple of days!!! Congrats!
Oh my, time flies when you're busy eh?
Having "been there, done that" with the last one going off to college, I just want you to know I'll be praying for the transition. I wish I'd thought a little more about what I'd do after instead of being so busy just getting THROUGH it. I think it would have helped the transition if I'd had plans in place. It was a difficult time. But know that God will use all those experiences in your past... and it may be in a way you've not even yet envisioned! :-)
How long have you had that new photo? I just noticed the mug. Can I say Duh?
WOW~! That made me tired just reading it all!
That song blesses my socks off.....love Kutless!
