Top Five Faves of the Week in Brief (most can be found somewhere on the blog already)
#5. Tonight Fashionista and I attended an amazing graduation celebration for 12 outstanding home educated- all -their- lives seniors. These kids' bios listing their accomplishments and future plans impressed my socks off. The speaker was excellent; his message was personal and timely. It made me laugh and cry. There were only 12 graduates, so plenty of time for a little slide show of pics featuring each one and the ceremony still didn't seem long. Next year, Fashionista will be one of those graduates and I'll be crying for a whole different reason.
#4. I.T.-ologist and I discovered a unique tourist attraction on the way to Indianapolis. You can read all about it below in the Cows and Hearts post.
#3. A tie between: winning the book Spilt Milk in a drawing on Linda Vujnov's blog. Click on the picture of the book in my sidebar for more on that. And: discovering an error in my math calculation concerning how much H2O I need to drink each day to stay competitive in the 30x5 Exercise Challenge. I was drinking 40 ounces more each day than I needed to! No wonder I was becoming uncomfortably familiar with toilets all over town. I'm feeling better now.
#2. It was pure pleasure making breakfast for Pilgrim at 6:00 a.m. on Monday and Friday, before he beat it on out of here to help a guy hydroseed- working hard for those last few dollars in the face of his Monday departure for the west coast. Again, you can read about it in Cows and Hearts.
#1. Outside the Box is back! We've missed him. More on that below, as well....
(this post is me participating in a fun blog thing, for any readers who wouldn't know that)

Heidi, Fashionista was Mary Bailey??!! My FAVORITE MOVIE of all time. I have never seen a play version of that movie and would like to.
Glad you posted your fave five, too. We're both 1st timers. Graduations always get to me a bit, too--all that potential in caps and gowns! Good luck with the Algebra teaching. So glad that is you and not me! (I could teach checkbook balancing and that is about it!)
Good Morning! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog the other day. I always love seeing who I will come across each day! I'll visit again soon.
Oh and congrats on the win over at 2nd cup, I just love her blog!
I'll stop by again soon!
Blessings
Robin
Hi Heidi, welcome to Friday Fave Fives!
Oh my goodness, you must have been sloshing with all that water. LOL. I've been trying to do Linda's challenge and the water is a definite challenge, though I find since we started to get ionized water it does make it easier to drink. Goes down better somehow.
Congrats on winning the book. Love to win books.
You are just all over this blogging thing, girl. Loved your list. You mentioned Indy--I'm near Indy (60 miles). Also, a lot of people are telling me that they are over-drinking their water. Perhaps we should all re-visit division. Then i can use the word "quotient" again. :)
We've done the cap and gown thing a few times and it never fails to totally mess with my mind. How can this (or that) child possibly have gone from 2 year old chubby cheek toddlerhood to highschool (or college) graduate in two weeks?!
When our daughter was ready to graduate from homeschool high school, we joined forces with the parents of her best buddy and threw a dual ceremony & open house. Which I blogged about Feb. 23 this year because this weekend the daughter's standing up with her best buddy in his wedding :-)
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I've so enjoyed visiting yours and will be back!
Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog... I have enjoyed reading yours and catching up ...
I home schooled our 4 kids for awhile. LONG story. I loved it and wanted to do it forever! We have so many good friends who were doing it at the same time and the fellowship was awesome!
I'll be ack!
