Verizon Family

Quick post while I wait for I.T. to research the online Verizon phone deals with his company discounts applied, so we can return to the store to share those with the guy we've been working with for the last three hours. Like anything else, before we buy, we ask 1,000 questions. The guy at the store is a patient fellow- good thing. And knowledgeable. Bonus! Hopefully, we are not his worst nightmare customers. I.T. likes to have every piece of information locked away before signing on the dotted line. Not a bad thing, right? Me. I never read the fine print, or any of the print. Opposites attract, we prove it over and over.

I'm excited to get everyone in this family consolidated onto one phone plan with unlimited texting. Currently, two have Nextel (no service from the mountains of New York back to mom in Michigan, ggrrrr), one has Verizon with no texting option, but is texting anyway ($$$$$ ggrrrr), one of us has Alltel pay as you go and someone in this family has no phone and is not happy about it.

Soon and very soon, I hope!, we will have a Verizon plan, flashy new phones with pull out keyboards and everyone phoning home to mother!

Cell phone plans drive me crazy! I don't like doing the research, etc. But, I want them to work--and I want them to do what I need them to do with no problems. And the girls being able to call is of primary importance!!

Be sure to take a pic of the new phone!!

make sure you have them explain the Family/Friends option to you and sign up for that (free); you'll do even better when they go out of network for calls, etc. Trust me, I speak from experience :)

The salesman told me that if you have kids, you either need to get NO texting (where it won't allow you to) or unlimited texting. Otherwise $$$$$$$ggrrrrrrrrr.

My husband has a nextel and I have a pay as you go. When the kids ask for a phone I laugh! When mom gets a flashy phone you get a flashy phone! Their not driving yet, so no biggy! Driving with a phone is another story all together!!!

This "funny blogger" doesn't even have a cell phone anymore. At first I was lost without it but now I love it. No more losing phones, trying to answer while driving or getting those anoying sales calls. If you want to reach me, I am either at work or at home. I guess I am pretty boring.
