Random Dozen

1. What is your favorite Mexican dish?
Dees one iz pretty nice, yes?

2. When you were a kid, did you get started on your homework right away after school, or did you procrastinate?

Oh, right away...yes, I got right on that ten page paper and um, oh those 42 Geometry proofs- on it! Right away. Yep. Pronto. Done. I got 'er done. (can I uncross my fingers now?)

3. What is your favorite store for home furnishings?

Actually, my favorite place to shop for home furnishings is in other peoples' garages. I live in the garage sale capital of the world.

4. When you were young, did you like school lunches?

Yes. I ate all of mine and my friends' leftovers. (so far that is peoples-ez and friends-ez)

5. Is religion a crutch?

Well crutches are needed for the broken. Crutches allow you to stand, when you'd otherwise fall. I guess this describes the Jesus I know. But like my new favorite music artist, Jason Gray, says in my new favorite song, More Like Falling in Love: "...all religion ever made of me was a sinner with a stone tied to my feet...it never set me free." And now I'll repeat what I wrote last Wednesday- "It's gotta be more like fallin' in love...than something to believe in...More like losing my heart...than giving my allegiance."

This is what I have discovered anyway.

6. In your region, what is the "big" (most popular in the community or state) high school sport?

Blogging. I need to expand my region.

7. Do you consider yourself rich?

Yes I do. Not because of money, but because of salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone and everything that comes with it.

8. Which of these would you have the best chance for success in administering:

A) CPR

B) Heimlich Maneuver

C) Changing a flat tire

Success is the stumper here. Success would mean that the fella would start breathing again or the chicken bone would fly out of the throat or that I'd actually be able to find a jack. I'd have the most success flagging down a Jack and talking him into changing my tire. Is that good enough?

9. Which dance would you prefer to learn & why:

A) Salsa

B) Hip Hop

C) Waltz

D) Swing

I could learn any of these if I had the right partner, ya know what I mean?

No ten for me today.

11. Name something you learned in college that had nothing to do with classes or academics.

Professors are people too. Pretty nice folks, at that.

12. New variation on an old question: If there's a song in your head that just won't get out, what is your favorite (or most repeated) line in that song?

"It was love that made me a believer- in more than a name, a faith, a creed. Falling in love with Jesus brought the change in me....It ought to be more like falling in love.....love....love..."

#1. I think you and I think a lot alike! (a bit scary, eh?)

#2. See my response to #1.

#3. I haven't done that in ages, as I have been working on de-cluttering but you are SO right! And it is so hard to pass up something that they are almost paying you to take!!

#5. GREAT!!

#8. 2Thinks project for the week....Find a local place to take a CPR class and do it. Did you know that if someone has a heart attack and if no one if preforming CPR by the time rescue workers get there (even if it is only 3-4 minutes), that person has less than a 5% survival chance. HOWEVER, if someone is performing CPR it raised to over 90%. Just remember You can't hurt them. They are already dead. However, you COULD save their life. Now wouldn't THAT be a fun post to write about!!

Have and OUTSTANDING day!! OR Go inside and have an INSTANDING day. Regardless......enjoy!!
