A Tribute to My Bloggies

Andrea over at Arise to Write dedicated this Neno's award to all of her blogfriends and I'd like to take a moment to do the same. Being a blogger has become my favorite past time- writing one and reading all of yours. Who knew there were so many excellent writers out there living with the love of the Saviour and yearning to share their life and that love with others! Incredible. Your blogs are funny and inspiring and heartfelt and encouraging. I think about what it would be like to have a big, worldwide blog party, where all the bloggers in my circle and in the circles of my bloggers would gather for coffee or tea or bottled water- whichever you prefer- and laugh and hug and sit a spell. We wouldn't have to spend a dime on name tags. Maybe someday....

Anyway, to all my followers- thank you for making me feel like some sort of author or something by signing up and saying "hey, I think I'll read your blog again sometime". Every time that happens I just sit in front of the new icon- photo, picture or empty silhouette-doesn't matter- and stare at it with a big smile on my face and exclaim out loud, "I got another one!" It's truly better than catching a king salmon on Lake Michigan for me. I know my husband and many others will not ever understand that, but perhaps you do.

If you follow my blog, grab the award and place it on your blog, if you have one. After reading all of your blogs, I honestly cannot choose one over the other that is more inspiring, more encouraging or funnier- they are all completely amazing and unique. Never before have I experienced anything like this blogworld. Thank you for being part of mine.

sarah's got a good description of the one's she's hosting above...
I participate when I can....I'm not as diligent as a lot of the ladies. basic premise: take a picture each day for a whole year. (i usually end up taking a few a week...sometimes)...but when i do have a few shots, i post the button and go to sarah's and add my site to her mr. linky...
it's fun catching up with each other
sometimes there are silly pictures and sometimes amazing pictures
some women are very good about doing like a picture diary (and it can later replace a scrap book if you want to invest in doing a book from your online posts...many sites have good layouts)
anyway, it's just a fun way to keep some quick memories close by and to share :)
(There are many, many people who probably host Project 365 blogs...I found Sarah's and liked it)
hope this helps

skoots! thanks for the shout out! Heidi we would love for you to join us. This has probably been one of the most rewarding projects I have ever done and there is no pressure to get a picture every day (I missed yesterday!)

and congrats on the award! I think in heaven we might all be able to get together! :) won't that be fun!?

I know exactly what you mean. I've always been amazed that people want to follow my blog. LOL. I love coming over here and getting a good laugh. My sweet friend ADHD-Jo has competition over here, but it's very friendly competition. :)

Congratulations on the award and thanks for sharing! Much love to you!

Skoots answered the question about 365 :-) I liked the concept of posting a photo a day when I saw it on a blog last year BUT knew I couldn't do that. Some days I don't have internet, some days I'm too busy to go near the computer... But when Sara suggested posting a week's worth on the weekend I thought, "I can do that!" I missed one weekend when we were out of town and couldn't get online but otherwise have been semi-faithful :-) I really love the concept of turning it into a book at the end of the year (www.blurb.com). We've had others join in late, it's not a problem! I've enjoyed getting to know the ladies in our group better through their photos and commentary that does such a good job of sharing what their lives are like. Y'all are my friends even if I haven't met you in person yet :-)

Heidi,

It's true, I mentioned that incredible feeling the other day about how many people have been drawn to God's inspiration found within so many wonderful blogs. It is amazing to see just how powerful God's power can come across and how fast prayer can be said for hurting people everywhere just with a simple posting requesting prayer.

Congratulations on receiving this wonderful and blessed award. You truly deserve it and so many more I am sure will follow along with more followers.

Love and Hugs ~ Kat
