Random Dozen

Lid at 2nd Cup of Coffee hosts this meme. If you click over there you can read a bunch of other ones, because Mr. Linkey is there. Mine are short and to the point today.

1. Tell me something about your favorite teacher. She's a blogger from Easy Street, U.S.A.

2. Tell me about one pivotal moment in your life. I took 13 years of ballet, there were a lot of pivotal moments.

3. About favorite colors--a lot of people will ask you what it is, but I want to know why it is. What feeling or memory does it evoke? Mr. Green Jeans from Captain Kangaroo and trees.

4. What's a sure sign that you're getting older? Can't remember.

5. Please don't sermonize, but Halloween--is it a yes or no for you? Not really, but the candy is half off the day after.

6. What's your favorite musical? Fiddler on the Roof

7. Are you more of a city mouse or country mouse? Suburban mouse, who once longed for the country, but lately is content with home.

8. Did you know that it is possible, for a small fee, to name a real star after someone? (It's true! Google it!) If someone were to name a star for you, would you appreciate it for its whimsy and romance, or would you say, "Are you kidding me? For $19.95 we could have gone to the movie and actually bought popcorn."This question comes from Paula at His Ways Are Not Our Ways.

What happens if your star falls after you've paid the $19.95. Or shoots? I'd really need to have the answer to that first.

9. What's the craziest thing you've ever been doing and texted during it? I only thought of this b/c I was about to try to text during my walking video but I didn't.Paula, you do know that this blog is rated G, right? I've only texted while I was texting. I really can barely text while I'm texting, let alone while I am doing anything else.

10. "It's not a party unless _______." people show up.

11. When you're stuck in traffic or a waiting room, what do you do to pass the time? PS: There are no magazines available. The current book I'm reading is usually in my bag. I read it.

12. If you weren't yourself, would you be friends with you? I'm not quite myself right now, but yes, I think I would. No, I think we'd be too much alike- competing for attention. No. I don't think I would like me so much. But I basically like everyone. So. I'd give it my best shot.

Heidi,

What a beautiful post! I love learning even more about you each week. I knew about the star thing in the past, but you pose a great question, what does happen to it?

I'd still like you. I love Halloween. When else can you scare the water out of little kids and have their parents laugh at you?
Need to say this; Stars don't shoot. Meteors do. Stars go Super Nova, or burn out. But it's better to burn out than to fade away...

You never disappoint my friend.

I was caught off guard with your pivotal moments. Haha!!

I don't do favorite colors. I plan on doing a post on that one day. :)

4. LOL!!

5. Yep, yep, yep! Me too! Me too! Me too!

8. Why didn't I think to ask that!! WAHAHAHA!

12. Good answer. I think we all want to say we would but in reality I doubt that anyone would be very close friends with their clone. She or he would take away your uniqueness.

Loved your comment on my blog. I think you totally got the point. ;)

Love you!

Oh my word Heidi, you crack me up!
...pivotal moments, can't remember, your answer to #8 (seriously!), and the schizo answer to #12. ROFL

A wonderful way to start my day with a smile instead of a frown (which is what I had initially after waking up way too early because the construction guys showed up, turned on the radio and started hammering next door BEFORE 6:30 AM).
